Description of Janome Gathering Foot (200003102)
This particular foot is only recommended for lightweight fabrics and not for furnishing fabrics. The underside of the foot is raised behind the needle and has a slot in front of the needle to gather and attach a ruffle onto a flat piece of fabric simultaneously. Only a very slight gather is achieved with this foot, for a more effective gather we recommend the ruffler. Nice to have the choices!
