But don't think of it as a stripped-down portable. The Janome JP760 sewing machine is computerized with 60 stitches including 5 styles of Auto one-step buttonholes plus a bright, easy-to-read LCD display. With the Janome JP760 you get legendary Janome stitch quality, sturdy construction and a precise feeding system. It has all the features you'd expect from a full-size machine, but is 3/4 the size of a standard model and weighs in at just under 12 lbs.

Copeland Liverpool 30.05.11Small but mighty is my Janome Platinum 760. I really love this little machine. After not sewing for many years, I decided to start with a machine that had some computerized features but was not too complicated. It needed to be portable as well since I planned to take it to classes. After three years of using this machine for all types of sewing (bags, small quilts, clothing), I must say it was worth every penny. Included in the price of the machine was the extension table and a quilting kit (walking foot, 1/4" foot, etc). If you are an experience sewer and just need a machine for classes, the Janome 760 is great because it has some of the features found on larger machines (start/stop button, needle up/down, 60 stitches). If your a beginner, it is a fun machine to learn on. After 3 years, I decided to upgrade and purchased a Janome 6600p but I am keeping my 760 for classes and for when I need a freearm (not available on the 6600p).
