Every now and again, we publish an example of interesting work undertaken by many of GUR’s wonderful customers, which they kindly send to us via our Facebook Page<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n This particular example features Rita Mills’s wonderful “strippy quilt”<\/em> as she calls it, who she made it for, and how she makes her creations highly individual.<\/p>\n Our thanks to Rita for this deeply personal account…<\/strong><\/p>\n “I made this quilt on a Janome sewing machine<\/a>\u00a0for my sister in law who was ill with cancer. Sadly she has since passed away, so this quilt will be passed down to her granddaughter.”<\/em><\/p>\n “I always label my quilts with the date and who it was made for. <\/em><\/p>\n “I attended a quilting group and this took me many hours to make. I especially love the top panel as it makes me think of holidays, and my sister in law loved holidays. <\/em><\/p>\n “The quilt is made with 100% cotton: I enjoyed making this as I knew she would appreciate the love with which it was made.
