You run your fabric along it to get a perfect \u00bc inch seam allowance.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It also has \u00bc inch marks along the side, which allows you to drop your needle and pivot around corners.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/srZS2CLrY3k?rel=0\" width=\"773\" height=\"435\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Snap the foot on to your machine and choose a straight stitch. Put the edge of your fabric against the guide and begin sewing.<\/p>\n<p>At the end of your seam, sew right up to the \u00bc inch mark.
