Every now and again, we publish an example of interesting work undertaken by one of GUR\u2019s wonderful customers, which they send to us via our Facebook Page<\/a>. This particular quilting story was kindly sent in by Vicki Howard from Stevenage in Hertfordshire…<\/p>\n “This is the quilt I made for my three old granddaughter: almost all of the blocks are \u2018personal\u2019 to me and her. For example we cook and \u2018sew\u2019 and garden together, hence the sewing machine, pin cushion, flowers, apron and spoon blocks.<\/em><\/p>\n “Her grandad was a Welsh farmer, hence the tractor block (and I could go on!). I brought the fabric in America, and sewed it on a pretty old Janome machine<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n “Everyone in the monthly sewing class I go to has brand spanking new ones, but my quarter inch seams are a dream to do on the old machine!<\/em><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n “It’s vital\u00a0for some of the pieced 6\u201d blocks.
