How Nicky’s memory bears are comforting her mother-in-law
Memory bears can be such a wonderful thing to make – helping to keep alive reminiscences of friends or relatives who have sadly passed on.
Nicola Hill, of Dry Drayton in Cambridge, made the three wonderful examples you see here from her father-in-law’s clothes following his sad death, using her favourite Elna sewing machine.
One surprising turn of events came when Nicky’s mother-in-law recognised her late husband’s clothes that the bears had been made from.
Nicky said
“My mother in-law has dementia but remembers that these were his clothes.”
