Review for: Novum Pro Q400 Long Arm Computerised Sewing Machine
I’ve had this machine a few months now, because I wanted to give it a proper use before leaving my review. I bought this machine for free motion quilting, to use on my Freestyle quilting frame - I’d been using a Brother NV1800Q (which also doubles as my main sewing machine) but wanted more throat space.
I used the Novum straight out of the box to quilt a bed sized quilt, and I’m really impressed with it. I’ve used Brother machines for more than a decade and was a bit nervous to buy a machine from a brand unknown to me, but the Novum actually performs better than the Brother with quilting.
The Brother seemed to require a specific combination of needle, thread and speed to get good quality results, but the Novum performed perfectly with whatever …

Review for: Novum Pro Q9 Long Arm Sewing Machine
I bought this Pro Q9 instinctively after struggling to sew layered projects with my main machine. Well, I have to mention I’m really impressed! It produces excellent stitches, has a long arm for handling wider projects, and it effortlessly keeps up with my pedal speed.

Review for: Novum Pro Q500 Long Arm Computerised Sewing Machine
I decided to upgrade from my Brother sewing machine, looking for a model with more arm space to accommodate everything from small projects to large quilts. The Novum Pro Q500 has met all my expectations! It includes every feature my Brother lacked: a knee lifter for hands-free presser foot control, faster sewing speeds, consistent stitches (even at high speeds), a built-in thread cutter, a drop-in bobbin and it's still computerised. I’ve even seen quilters use the Novum Pro Q500 on a long-arm rig to topstitch quilts. Although I was initially hesitant about the higher price, I’m thrilled with my choice. I did encounter some minor tension issues during the first few uses, but they quickly resolved, and I haven’t had any problems since. Right now, I’m working on a …

Review for: Novum Pro Q9 Long Arm Sewing Machine
I am very pleased with my new machine.
After a tentative start, I soon was able to make progress with help from Palma at the support team.
I appreciate the extended space between the needle and the arm which enables more bulky sewing easily.
The added level space of the optional surround table is also helpful in keeping the material flat and easy to manipulate.
I am now progressing to free embroidery which I have done before and have had no problems transferring to my new machine.

Review for: Novum Pro Q9 Long Arm Sewing Machine
I have been impressed with the Novum Pro Q9 Long Arm Sewing Machine.
The delivery was fast, the packaging perfect and the machine undamaged and ready to go.
I needed the machine as a portable unit for sewing canvas boat covers.
I am not professional, but own two boats that seem to have a lot of canvas! I have just replaced a window in one of the covers and the machine coped very well.
I have had to do a slight modification as my sewing twine comes on a 5000m cob that does not fit the machine, but the fix was easy. I have an Adler heavy duty machine set up in my garage, but that may be obsolete now.
The Novum Walking Foot is still to be judged. I am not wholly convinced it is an improvement on the standard foot although maybe I am being unfair as it was working on plastic see-…

Review for: Novum Pro Q400 Long Arm Computerised Sewing Machine
After a postage issue, (not GURs fault) that GUR resolved very promptly, I took delivery of the Novum Pro Q400 sewing machine.
I'll be honest, it's not a brand I know anything about so did take a punt - and I am so glad I did.
What a great machine!!
Feels sturdy in use and is relatively quiet compared to my previous machines.
Even today, it's quilting a baby quilt quite happily without a walking foot, but I will be getting one soon.
The only cons for me, are that it doesn't have a serpentine stitch which is my favourite quilting stitch and that you can't move the needle manually.
Give Novum brand a try, you'll be pleasantly surprised

Very easy to shop on line. Delighted with the Novum Pro 500q. I have upgraded from a domestic sewing machine. And am just studying all the quilting programs and books so I can enjoy quilting and have a bit of confidence to use the machine for its full potential.

Review for: Novum E200 Sewing & Quilting Machine
Even though I know nothing about sewing, I realized that having a machine would be useful for repairing coats and taking up overalls, given that I'm a farmer. I contacted "GUR Machine Machines" and purchased a superb Novum E200 machine that fulfills all my needs.
I also get all my accessories, such as needles and thread, from them. I simply tell them what I need to do, and they always provide me with the right tools and advice.
Their prices are very competitive, the postage is quick, and their knowledge is unmatched.
I don't look anywhere else for anything related to sewing and highly recommend them to others.

Review for: Novum Pro Q400 Long Arm Computerised Sewing Machine
I am an intermediate to advanced skills in sewing and crafting. Although my faithful Janome sewing machine has served me well for 38 years, it's beginning to show its age. Now that I've retired and have a grandchild to make things for, I finally have the time to explore new sewing projects like embroidery and quilting. Unfortunately, my old machine isn't equipped for these tasks. I'm in need of a fast and versatile sewing machine that can handle various projects including clothing, costumes, curtains, pillows, and napkins. Since I already have a Novum overlocker that I adore, my initial plan was to explore Janome sewing machines. However, the abundance of Janome models has made it challenging to narrow down my choices. I came across the Novum Pro 400, which seems to meet all my …

Review for: Novum Pro Q9 Long Arm Sewing Machine
I bought this machine because I am a quilter and needed a machine with a bigger throat space and as few fancy stitch options as possible. I was not disappointed. This is a wonderful machine that sews like a dream. The stitch precision is fantastic as is the tension. Feeding the fabric through is very smooth and I could not be happier. The machine is extremely good value for money; even more so since I bought it on sale (and it came with a free extension table). The service from GUR was exemplary. I sent two emails with questions and got a swift reply. I was a bit of a nuisance asking them to double check a measurement, and they did. In short, I cannot recommend the shop or the machine enougth, and I look forward to many years of joyful sewing.

Review for: Novum Pro Q500 Long Arm Computerised Sewing Machine
My sister bought me this machine as I was looking for a slightly bigger one. I seen this and done loads of research on it but I just kept coming back to it. I knew I had to get it as it was the machine for me..I love how quiet it is and elegant and professional it looks. I haven't played around yet with the stitches or anything else on it. I make quilts and was the perfect machine. For me to experiment with.I would highly recommend this am hone as you get excellent value for money and definitely won't be disappointed.I shall leave another review once I have had it longer and played around with everything it has. But thank you GUR machines for such an excellent value for money machine and I have to say the delivery time was 100% quick.

Review for: Novum Pro Q9 Long Arm Sewing Machine
I am absolutely thrilled with my new sewing machine. Recently, I've ventured into dressmaking, patchwork, and bag making, I realised it was high time to upgrade from my old sewing machine. After testing out a few options at a local sewing class, I decided on the Novum Q9.
What stood out to me the most was how incredibly quiet it is, the user-friendly interface, and the fact that it offers all the functions I could possibly need, and even a few extras.
I was especially amazed at how effortlessly it handles various thicknesses of fabrics. After conducting some research, I discovered that GUR was offering this machine at a more competitive price than any other retailer. What truly impressed me, though, was the swiftness and efficiency of the ordering process. I placed my …
