Phoenix cushion

I hand embroidered the front pattern and then machine sewed a white backing to it. I then chose a moss green velvet fabric for the back of the cushion. I firstly sewed in a zip then attached the front to the velvet backing. The sewing machine was so easy to use, it was a breeze catching all the layers and the edge of the embroidery to make sure there was a nice smooth finish all the way round. I can’t wait to start my next sewing project!
