Not only does this machine deliver excellent results for knit and stretch fabrics, but its coverstitch also ensures the seams remain intact even under significant stretch and strain.

To achieve consistently impeccable stitching, the machine incorporates a built-in differential feed system. Two consecutive feed dogs work in harmony to prevent stretching or distorting of the fabric. This feature is particularly advantageous when working with delicate fabrics like silk or viscose, as well as stretchy materials such as jersey.

I brought this machine a couple of weeks ago, used it for the first time tonight and the power supply is connected correctly as the light is on the machine but it is not sewing. Can someone advise please?

- If the front cover is open, the machine is designed not to operate as a safety precaution. Unlike typical overlockers that lack this feature, those without it might accidentally start operating if the pedal is pressed during threading, posing a risk of injury to the user. The Novum Coverlock, however, will only function when the front is securely closed, making it a valuable safety feature.

can you advise who manufactures the cover lock (Novum) machine. My research would suggest its changed hands and may now be Chinese product? Are parts easy to obtain?

- The Novum brand was originally owned by Janome. Over ten years ago, we acquired the brand name from Janome, as they were no longer using it. Since then, we have been selling our own machines under the Novum brand name.
  The coverlock machine you are interested in is manufactured in Taiwan. It is worth noting that many other brands also produce their machines in Taiwan or China.

I am very pleased with my purchase.

GUR are a great company to deal with. They always answer queries in a prompt friendly manner. The machine arrived next working day. I used it a couple of days later, as wanted to give it my full time and attention.

It hemmed stretch material like a dream. It came pre threaded, but I have since threaded it myself, which was easier than threading as overlocker, although I do have the hang of that particular machine now.

I am looking forward to making lots of items and giving them a professional finish.

The machine was on offer and it came with a free carrier, which is brilliant for transporting and keeping machine dust free.

Highly recommend GUR.

Ordered on a whim following a recommendation of this machine in an online sewing group. Great company to deal with. It was processed and shipped before I had time to worry about the fact I’d got to tell my husband I’d bought another sewing machine and it arrived the next day! So quick and easy to set up I was sewing in minutes. I bought the display model but you wouldn't have known the difference from a new one. It works well.

Sounds like it means business as it growls, or is it GURRR!

I wont be using it that much, which is why I bought a cheaper machine but considering all things its great and does the job.

Fits in well with my other three machines, heavy duty, overlocker, my lovely Bernette and now this beastie. .
