I bought this machine from Gur sewing machines as an upgrade to the Janome 6500 machine. This 7700 has served me well for all dressmaking, patchwork, quilting and a whole host more for the last ten years. Sadly I needed a new foot plate and Gur sent me one promptly to replace the other. Not only can I thank Gur sewing machines for their fair and efficient service to me in France but also to thank them for the original Janome 6500 which still works like a dream without service or repair from more than 25 years back. I buy only top of the range machines but they have lasted a lifetime of work and proved to best economical in the long run. I also bought three embroidery combo machines and alas, they never seem to wear out either though my next choice will be Janome M7 continental which would certainly outblive my time on this planet.
