Very impressed with GUR. Janome J3-18 Sewing Machine Description

The Janome J3-18 Sewing Machine is an ideal lightweight, front loading machine which is convenient for home use. It includes 18 stitches, a four step buttonhole and a Sewing Speed:of 750 s.p.m..

It is a really simple to use two dial machine, one for stitch selection and the other for adjusting stitch length. There are also 8 stretch stitches to choose from. Threading is no longer a dreaded chore because the easy to follow numbered thread path gets you down to the needle where the built in needle threader gets the job done in seconds.

By removing the detachable storage box the machine convenients to free arm allowing easy access to difficult areas and is ideal for sewing sleeves and trouser legs. The extra height foot lifter increases the height of the foot and allows for extra bulky fabrics.

It has 2 pull up/push down spool pins for ease of use and safe storage, also the twin spool pins allows you to be creative using twin needles. All this plus quick foot change, a reverse stitch lever, a side thread cutter and drop feed facility for free hand embroidery.

I am reluctantly looking for a new sewing machine now my old (1974) machine has given up the brave fight. I am looking for a machine that is capable of sewing everything from lace and silk to leather and denim..... Is the Janome J3-18 able to cope with such a varied task??? I make everything from clothing and costumes through to bags and re-upholstering... This is the first machine i have bought and need some advice.. Thanks in advance.

- I have the Janome J3-20 which is the same machine with a few extra stitches that I have not used at all, I purchased my machine 2 years ago and love it.
  All my sewing is mostly done for my grandchildren I have done various types of sewing from hemming, cutains and even a wedding dress. the machine has coped with all sorts of fabrics and have never played up.
  Will reccomend the Janome brand to anyone.

Got this machine two weeks ago. took me ages to decide which machine to go for, the sales team was very helpful. they recommended this one in my case and i love it , easy to use not noisy and got it next day.

In the unlikely event you experience a problem with your sewing machine, overlocker or embroidery machine for the duration of your warranty, please contact us via email quoting your order number and a brief description of the fault.

We will then arrange a telephone call with you to go through some simple diagnostics with you. Often this helps to rectify the problem over the phone quicker.
We will repair your machine as swiftly as possible. We will arrange to collect your product. Please retain your original sewing machine box and polystyrene inserts as this will ensure it is protected during transit.

There is no need to register your warranty.

The product warranty is nontransferable should the machine be sold or given away at a later date.
