I love this machine!! It is so much fun to use and as a first time embroidery machine I have found it easy to use. One thing I would say is don't be tempted by the cheap threads found on certain auction sites, you will end up pulling your hair out with the breaking and tangling, pay that bit extra for a good quality thread.

The best sewing machine I ever had!!! Just love it!!!

Originally I was only interested in purchasing the Janome 525S as it has been on the sewing bee and looks like it’s a really good sewing machine, GUR recommended the Janome 500, it’s literally the same machine except it’s a different colour and is even cheaper. It arrived the day after I ordered it and I haven’t put it down since, many thanks GUR for your helpful service and speedy delivery.

I needed an overlocker but wasn’t sure which one. I called GUR for advice and spoke to Steve who took patiently answered all my questions and advised on which machine would be best for me. There was NO hard sell just friendly advice. I subsequently bought the Jaguar 097 and Steve was absolutely right. Its a wonderful overlocker and so easy to thread. GUR kept me up to date on my purchase and the next day, as advised via email, my machine was duly delivered at the time advised. This is the second purchase from GUR and now the only online sewing supplies shop i will use. A big thank you to all the staff at GUR and a special thanks the wonderful Steve. Bought this machine for my daughter who had been at college doing an HNC In Fashion and now heading off to do a Degree in Fashion/ Textiles. She absolutely loves sewing with th easy to use yet versatile machine. Thanks to GUR my life is also so much easier. ..no more stress from daughter who used to struggle with a machine which was less reliable and knotted threads.

I was interested in buying a Janome 525s, but GUR advised me on the Janome 500 as it is basically the same machine, only exclusive to GUR and £50 cheaper. Why would anyone buy the 525s. Thanks GUR.
