I saw this quilt at the FOQ a couple of years ago and decided to recreate it. Heart of a Lion is a Pride and Joy Quilting pattern, using the FPP technique. I would manage a couple of pieces every couple of months at my quilt group sew days, so it was tricky to get back into the flow of sewing it. The finished quilt is 30" x 30", which I quilted on my long-arm quilting frame, I used a mono-poly thread, which in itself is a challenge. I am very pleased with the results and he is going to be hung in my stairwell where it will be seen the most. Pictures are of one of the pieces, the mess from removing the papers and the finished quilt.
