Nan's very hungry caterpillar

I started this quilt back in October 2024 after my first granddaughter was born. She was a hungry little baby and I called her my hungry little caterpillar. Life got very busy and the quilt got left. I set a deadline of August 2025 to finish it for her first birthday. That deadline came and went too and the quilt finally got finished this year. I used a fabric panel of the caterpillar and various matching fabrics to create a patchwork effect. I have a Brother embroidery machine, so I added her name to personalise it and made the label for the reverse too. The fabric was pieced on the Novum machine, and I used a combination of straight-line quilting with variegated thread and hand quilting to finish the quilt. It's taken some time but I have learnt new skills doing this and my granddaughter loves having naptime cuddled up under her quilt. She is still nana's very hungry little caterpillar and loves her snacks and fruit.
