This project started life as an entirely different pattern. I scrapped the pattern as it was not well worded. I did rescue some of the pieces though, with the intention of making a skirt.
It took on a life of its own though, I added a separate elasticated band, elasticated shoulder straps and a sash. It's made from chiffon and lined with a supersoft cotton. I used French seams for the chiffon and used a size 75 needle to work with the fabric. Standard foot but did adjust the tension and the foot pressure a bit.
The sash has a rolled hem, using the rolled hem foot. Its the easiest rolled hem that Ive ever done. No snags or slips working with this machine. An absolute dream machine and the speed was a total gift when working with so many long seams. I feel wonderful in this dress!
