I live in France and orders normally take 5 working days, this one however took over 2 weeks. Sent an email to ask when it was despatched, and had a reply straight away, the post let us down this time, but GUR were very helpful as usual, always kind helpful and understanding.

I ordered a new hoop for my embroidery machine. The hoop was in stock and shipped very quickly. It arrived in France within a couple of days. I had an additional question which was answered promptly. I can heartily recommend this shop.

The site was easy to navigate and use and the part ordered arrived the following day. The foot is robust (unlike some I have seen) and has received a lot of use since delivery.

My first experience shopping with GUR and it was all good. The description of the lamp was excellent and the ordering/delivery service went smoothly. Simple self assembly was straightforward. The lamp is perfect. I do a lot of tapestry and knitting and wanted something which would provide good task lighting without blinding other people in the room. I would not have chosen such a modern style, but needed the functionality of the light. As it stands behind the sofa the top is really unobtrusive so it's not a problem at all. Love the touch controls and the choice of colours. I have used it a lot since purchase and am very pleased.

Not prepared to give testimonial due to poor after sales in relation to unresolved usb issue on previous machine. Basically guarantee and warranty not worth a sook. Do not have room to keep cardboard box with polystyrene inserts.
Will be buying elsewhere in future...

GUR Reply: Sorry that we have upset you, we have the same rules for all our customers, if any machine under warannty need attention we will collect free of charge on the understanding you have the orginal packaging...in the past we have had so many machines damaged in transits because of poor packing by customers, if customer has no packing we will still solve any repairs as long as the customer returns the product to our repair department.

The clear coverstitch foot arrived in super quick time and was well packaged. Unfortunately it doesn’t fit my Britannia coverstitch machine, which I had hoped that it would. Not the shop’s fault.

Very quick turn around well done super product too

After reading reviews of GUR I decided to buy an overlocker machine from them . I wasn't disappointed . When I phoned for advice they were so helpful and the machine arrived quickly . There was a slight delay with some additional machine feet I ordered , but , once again , a quick call and it was dealt with swiftly . Really friendly,approachable staff .
The Brother Overlocker 4234d is wonderful so far . I expected to have problems threading it ,but with the very helpful DVD it's been easy . I wish I had bought one years ago and intend to make great use of it . Many thanks GUR .

I have had the Janome memory craft for a few weeks now and I really love it. It is very easy to use and I have compared the quality of the my embroidery to that done on a much more expensive machine and found that it is on a par and so I would say that the quality of the stitching is very good. I also like that it is easy to use the hoops and threading the needle without using the automatic threader is easy - the machine is very accessible and straightforward.

I was initially very disappointed with the service as, having ordered this on the 15th of October, I only received an email advising the order had been processed but no information on shipping company, expected delivery date, etc. This already flagged as a problem. So it was not too surprising to find out the item was never delivered. 7 working days after placing the order, finally I get a confirmation that a replacement item would be sent.
So why am I rating this service 5 stars? Because GUR's customer service is, by far, one of the best I have ever come across. Extremely polite advisor dealt with my problem every time I called (I even suspect it might have been the same person) and fixed the issue as quickly as he could. I felt cared for, understood, respected. Thank you.

Buying online easy.
Received an email 17/10 stating order received and processing.
Then nothing until 25/10 when i received a response to a query i sent on 23/10. email stated parcel sent 18/10

to date no parcel received tho i wont start panicking until the 3/11.
feeling anxious as it was an expensive purchase

GUR REPLY:  On the 17th October the item was dispatched from Birmingham UK to Australia, we have just tracked the parcel and its in Sydney Australia. We are sorry for the delay that Royal Mail have taken but we do state in our terms that it can take up to 21 days.

Initially you sent the wrong bulb. Bayonet instead of screw in. However it was quickly resolved after informing you of your mistake.

I was very impressed with the prompt replies I received from Steven on line. I had several questions about the janome memory craft 8900 qcp special edition and he took the time to answer my questions. Not only that , but the special price he quoted me for this model was the cheapest I had seen on line. I also requested a few "bundle " items, that also had been discounted. Their knowledge of the products I then purchased was very impressive together with the prompt delivery of my order
