So far it has been a very good purchase, easy to familiarise with. But i have not done anything very challenging yet.

My hoop took rather longer than I expected to arrive, however it was with me within a week so I can't really complain.
When I phoned to enquire about it, the customer service representative what very helpful and polite.
I was a little surprised to receive it with no packaging, Husqvarna hoops usually come in a card sleeve with the Husqvarna logos etc on. I have no reason to doubt its authenticity however.

Although I knew what I wanted before visiting GUR, when I arrived the guys were very helpful and friendly. I was able to see a machine set up ready and try before buying. I then placed my order for delivery to my home address. The order arrived on time and well packaged.
The machine itself is very easy to operate and performs very well. If you are unsure about how to use a machine like this there are plently of YouTube videos to help you out.
I would definitely recommend the supplier and the machine.

Not the speediest despatch and delivery. Had to email to ask where it was after several days from ordering. Overedge Foot is okay and kind of does the job, but I thought I'd be getting something superior to my cheaper Amazon one by buying a genuine Janome part; unfortunately it's not really.

It will certainly help immensely when making dolls clothes as they are fiddly to turn back a hem twice and bulky. No need with this to stabilise the edges. Just turn back once. I also bought the invisible hem foot. Love that even more.

I'd bought my daughter a machine from GUR before Christmas, and had purchased an open toe free motion foot from a different supplier. Mistake! It didn't fit the machine. So I contacted GUR, who were very knowledgeable about the differences between each machine. The foot arrived quickly, fits, and my daughter is delighted with it. Can't really ask for more than that!

This is an brilliant task light (literally!). I've had a look at a number of daylight lamps at a few of the craft shows and I always returned to this one. It's not one of the cheapest, so I shopped around a bit but when GUR offered this light at a considerable Black Friday discount, I didn't hesitate. The description of this product on the GUR website is accurate, so I will not go into too much detail here, but the main selling points that made this light ideal for me are that the two rows of LED lights are dimmable and can be selected individually (so you can have either the front row, the back row or both rows on). This means you have total control of the level of light and I can have the light turned low if I'm working on my computer but can turn it up to its brightest level when I'm sewing. The lamp provides good full spectrum daylight, which is great if you're working with colour-sensitive projects. The light can be adjusted vertically, horizontally and laterally so I can have it above my desk as a reading light or pull it out over my sewing machine or over my lap if I'm working on a sewing project. The light attaches to the table with a clamp. This didn't quite suit me, as my table is positioned up against the wall, under the window. However, you can easily attach the clamp to the side of your table or – as I have done, to the window sill (which has a lip of just under two inches) – as you can rotate the pin that slots into the clamp 360° so it doesn't matter if the clamp is attached 'backwards' or 'sideways'. If this still doesn't work for you, there is a heavy metal foot available for this lamp that would allow you to position it on a flat surface any which way you like but – be warned – it is quite expensive! GUR's service was excellent as ever, with same day dispatch and next day courier delivery. I cannot recommend this company highly enough! Great deals at competitive prices and great service; you can't ask for more!

I first of all got advice on live chat with Steven for the correct stitch in the ditch foot for my pfaff ambition sewing machine, I had purchased from another supplier a clear foot but sadly it broke after the 3rd time using it, so I got the metal one, as advised by Steven, I can fully recommend this foot.

Delivery was really quick considering it was just before Christmas and I was soon back to quilting.

In October I purchased a Janome MC 8900MCP sewing machine, the machine is a dream to use and the service from GUR is second to none my new machine arrived next day delivery as promised. GUR was an excellent company to deal with so far, they were recommended to me by my neighbour and after checking out their reviews online, which were good decided to buy from them. Next day delivery which was very well packed and time slot given - all very professional.
The only disappointment was that the free gift package of threads with scissors did not include scissors and when I phoned customer services they said they had none and they are no longer given.
The Janome GUR 500 worked very well and on the whole I'm very happy with it as it is an improvement on my 41 year old Frister & Rossman - the only thing against it was that it only worked with the light on and the feature of the "extra height lift foot" used for sewing thicker fabrics was only a bit higher and not much of a difference - I expected it to be higher. But other than that it was a pleasure to use and happy I choose this model with the extra GUR guarantee of up to 5 years.
I recommend highly - both GUR and the Janome GUR500.

I bought a Jaguar DS 377 for my daughter's b'day, which she hasn't had yet, so can't comment on the machine. Delivery was fairly quick ( Highland's and Islands can be slow sometimes) . I should like to say more when we've seen the machine in action, it's still in the box it came in.

This was the second machine I have purchased from GUR, the first being a Jaguar 405 sewing machine, both were delivered exactly on time as advised by email.
The advice given when choosing them was very useful-in particular it was pointed out that a special offer was available on the over locker which enabled me to purchase a much higher specification model than the one I was looking at for the same price,and I am delighted with the operation of both machines.

I was buying this as a present, I was looking at another model and wanted it packaged so that it couldn't be identified. I was pointed in the direction of this model because it is computerised and it had a longer warranty, whilst being cheaper because of a great special offer. Really pleased with the response and the service given, G.U.R even put the machine in additional packaging as I wanted to disguise it as it was a gift. I cannot recommend them enough.

I am very pleased with both the Jaguar Supa Lock 486 I purchased from GUR and the help I was given over the phone in deciding which overlocker to buy. The Jaguar Supa Lock comes ready threaded with colour coded thread and an instruction manual which makes rethreading easy.

I am extremely impressed with the customer service  at GUR . Kool was very knowledgeable , asked what I required from a new machine and put forward a few options. I decided to go for the V5 and am extremely pleased with it. This machine is a joy to use and the results are excellent.

My order was dispatched promptly and arrived soon after. The item was enclosed in a padded envelope but I think it needed something more robust. The item ordered was a set of 3 optical magnifiers which could easily have got scratched. In fact, the rigid plastic bubble wrapping had got quite battered in the post.

GUR was a lucky find from a Google search. Needle plate clearly indicating which models it would fit - and it does! A very competitive price and very prompt delivery. An ideal shopping experience and GUR are now in my favourites list for future use.
