This is a real 'no hassle' company to deal with. In the last 12 months I have bought a terrific Pfaff Creative sewing machine at an unbeatable price and earlier this month a great Janome 'Coverlock Pro' machine. The packing and courier delivery is absolutely first class - GUR don't skimp.
The on-line site is first class and easy to navigate. Any questions not answered on the site are dealt with by phone easily and quickly. This month I took up their 5 month payment spread - no extra charge, fantastic and meant I got my machine quicker than otherwise.
I am confident that I would never have any difficulty with G.U.R should any guarantee problem arise with my machines.

Have bought from GUR before so was a tried and tested purchase from them. I had rung beforehand so knew that the next day purchase wouldn't apply as Brother machines are direct from manufacturer. Having said that I placed the order on a Thursday and the machine arrived on Monday with appropriate supporting emails to say it was on its way. Have always found GUR to be supportive and helpful so I know that if I did have any queries they could be easily dealt with. Would have no hesitation buying from them in the future.

An easy to navigate website. I found exactly what I wanted and appreciated the information provided. I ordered my machine at 2.30PM and by 3PM had an email telling me it had been dispatched. I received it, as promised, the next day, following an email telling me my delivery slot. The machine was very well packed and in perfect condition. Really impressed by the service I received and delighted with my new machine.

As usual, GUR responded quickly to my query and appropriately. Great Customer Service - I'm just so glad I bought my sewing machine from them as well.

Sadly I didn't have a good experience shopping with GUR!!! I have a 15% off platinum card sent to me from GUR after I had spent around £950 on my 2 first sewing machine. Over christmas I ordered 2 more sewing machines costing just under £1300 using my platinum 15% off for life card GUR had sent to me with my first order!! Firstly I had no warning no email phone call or text from GUR to conform my order the machine just turned up about a week for ordering I noticed no discount was added to my invoice I emailed GUR to ask why but I've had no response back about the matter 2 weeks on. I will not be using this rude company ever again they are very misleading and very unprofessional with dealing with any problems I went to a different company to buy the accesses only spending half the cost I had a much better experience!!!! I will not be buying from GUR again!!!

What can I say I ordered the sewing machine on Sunday and on tuesday at 12am it was delivered. The machine I ordered was used, new it cost £400 and the cost to me £199 when it arrived on opening it was perfect not a mark on it and you can not tell it had been used, My wife has not used it yet but I am sure she will get a lot of pleasure from it.

From the moment I first telephoned your company, the customer service I received was excellent, when I mentioned I needed advice on a couple of machines I was interested in I was informed that I would get a call back from yourself as you were on another call at the time and shortly afterwards you phoned me!  I really appreciated your help and information on the sewing/embroidery machines, and with your expert knowledge you helped me choose the right machine for my requirements.  As I am a novice to embroidery machines I had spent several months doing a lot of research on the internet to try and find out the best machines which I thought would be for me. 

You could have sold me a more expensive machine as I had mentioned the two models I had in mind to compare, but as you said, what would be the point when they would not have met my needs? Nothing was too much trouble for you and you phoned me back again later with the advice of a Brother Sewing Embroidery machine and the purchase was made! (My machine arrived two days later!!) Not only that but good to your word, you also sent me some embroidery threads and stabiliser fabric to help me on my way with starting my embroidery sewing. Also you sent me a twin needle and a wing needle (after I told you I didn't know what they were and you advised me how they work!!) and all at no cost to me.  I really must be such a novice when it comes to sewing having not known about these needles!!  I wouldn't mind so  much but I have had my Janome QC 6125 for over 10 years and I didn't know I could use a twin needle with it!!  Now thanks to you it has opened up a new world of sewing both with this machine and my new Brother NV955.

I was even able to pay on Flexiplan and that helped a lot.  I really cannot thank you enough, and I appreciate your time, effort and co-operation you have given to me.  I really wish more companies offered first class service the way your company does, it just goes to show how successful your company is and it is all thanks to you and your staff.

I shall be certainly using your company again for all my sewing requirements as I notice that you have a haberdashery department as well.  Certainly for me, I won't be going anywhere else for my sewing requirements  -  you now have another loyal customer !!

This is a tale of two parts firstly related to GUR and secondly to the machine itself.

The price was excellent and GUR dispatched the machine very quickly.
It arrived very swiftly especially considering that I ordered it on the 26th of December :-) So five stars for GUR.

However I have no idea how this machine passed quality control as two parts of the casing were badly misfitted leaving a gap in the sewing bed which apart from being unsightly would have caused a buildup of dust with associated mechanical issues. My first hour with the machine was spent fixing this problem rather than learning how to thread it!

On the subject of threading, Husqvarna provide a DVD on threading...
It's a shame it doesn't work in normal DVD players and requires a computer running windows to view it. As a MAC household I can only view the individual media files out of context. The lack of any verbal explanation makes it spectacularly pointless.

So five starts to GUR, but only three overall due to the Husqvarna issues.
 

This is the third machine I have purchased from GUR and I can not recommend them highly enough. Perfect service and very knowledgeable staff. I will be back to buy an over locker and then for the big quilting machine !!!!

I have this machines for few days now, I was able to test some features but not all yet, at the moment I am happy with my purchase. Sewing machine is quite easy to use and don't require oiling, the overlocker was already threaded up so that's big bonus cuz I still don't know how to do it myself, and delivery was fast, I received it next day. I am absolutely delighted with my 350e Janome Embroidery Machine, easy to use and set up. The quality of the embroidery is outstanding. An excellent purchase.
The GUR thread and stabiliser pack was a handy accessory to enable me to get embroidering immediately.
The free Digistiser Jr software is wonderful. I have purchased a set of workshops on the internet to teach myself how to use it and it really expands what you can do with purchased designs, adding lettering, resizing, designing layouts and some limited digitising tools. There is more which I will discover when I have completed all the workshops. It's a valuable accessory to have alongside your embroidery machine.

My husband and I were very impressed with the speed of delivery of my sewing machine which we ordered late morning and it arrived the next morning...just over 12 hours later. Splendid service.

Many moons ago I had a Memorycraft 2000 but after a lot of use and then a long spell of none use it went to the sewing machine centre in the the sky.This machine although not an embroider one has all the best parts of that machine.Stitches are good and even almost silent to use and although it has been Christmas and I've not been able to make very much I am looking forward to a hassle free sewing session. Given that the delivery date was so near Christmas, there was no delays, or problems with GUR. Very helpful.

The chap I spoke to on the phone was very informative and helpful, guiding me in the right direction regarding the machine I wanted /needed. Lots of great advice given! The delivery was very quick and the machine is an absolute dream. The email support was great too. All that PLUS payment options meaning I could get my hands in my machine much sooner. I phoned up to discuss which machine might suit me and wasn't sold the most expensive one on my list as I was advised for the sort of sewing I do another model might suit me better. After 40 mins on the phone I made my choice…….
My new machine arrived 48hrs later and has already been put into service.

I treated myself to my very first sewing machine for Christmas and have been very impressed with GUR Sewing Machine's service. Buying your first machine is a bit scary (so much choice - where do you start?) but the product information on the GUR website is very detailed, which really helped me make my choice. I like that they also have a dedicated sales line if you need more information and/or help, or if you'd prefer to place your order by phone. The sewing machine I settled on came with a very generous 'gold pack' offer plus three extra sewing feet and an extension table. Excellent value for money! My order was promptly dispatched the next day for delivery per courier (free delivery as well!). I could track the courier's van so knew exactly when to expect my delivery, which was very convenient. I'm really happy with my purchase and would highly recommend GUR Sewing Machines to anyone who's into sewing. I'd definitely buy from this retailer again - in fact, I'm just off to place another online order for some sewing supplies :-)
