I ordered 3 items and was happy with the initial service as my parcel arrived when estimated. Unfortunately one of the items was out of stock and I was advised that it should be with me shortly. I was advised that I could have a refund if I would prefer but thought that I would wait. After several days of receiving no further parcel, I made enquiries and was advised that it was unlikely to be back in stock till mid June. I would have preferred to have been aware at the time of ordering that items were out of stock rather than paying up front as I am still waiting and have no idea when I might receive my item. I have to say that I have again been offered a refund but just want my item as soon as possible.

Following a short phone call about my choice of overlocker, I ordered online and requested a delivery day to suit. Overlocker arrived with free gifts on day and time agreed! I was very impressed with GUR and the delivery company and I am very pleased with my Jaguar 097 that was replacing my very similar Frister-Lock4 that was over 30 years old.

Brilliant machine that sews and cuts beautifully, I have wanted this machine for quite a while and am very pleased with it. GUR sewing store provided very informative and impartial advice regarding a deal that was due as the machine I was interested in was out of stock. I called into the store and the team were all very helpful and down to earth enabling me to try out a couple of similar machines. After I had ordered the Janome 8050XL and arranged a delivery date there was a slight delay, and as it had taken slightly longer then expected they even offered to drop the machine off personally rather than wait another day for the courier. We arranged to collect the machine in the end and are very happy with the service received, thanks.

Bought two items recently on separate occasions, a specialised hoop for my embroidery machine and a new Babylock overlocker. Both orders were given equal importance and were delivered very quickly. A query about the second order was dealt with efficiently and in a friendly manner. I will certainly be buying from this company again.

I checked out many web sites looking for the right sewing machine as a present for my wife and found your site easy to use and navigate. Must say I find other peoples comments about machines really helpful so thanks to them too. Dealling with GUR was a pleasure and I was guided skilfully to the most suitable machine within the price range .It arrived on time and looks the part although pressure of work has prevented it being used as yet. I had a quick scan of the user manual which seemed very user friendly so we shall see!

This is my third online purchase with GUR having also made a personal visit to their store.

Purchase was easy and quick, kept up to date with the status of my order, and I was not let down with the choice of delivery company (which I have to say is starting to govern people's choice of company for ordering goods online)

All in all there was nothing which 'needled' me about this company and they have got the market sewn up!!

i purchased my brother L14 machine with birthday money, i've wanted one for a while but am a total beginner. This model was recommended by a friend and so far im really happy with it. have managed to made a fully lined knitting bag...don't think its half bad for my first attempt. Such a great service. I was very surprised at how inexpensive the item I bought was from GUR.
I had actually tried a well known auction site for said item, only to find it at an extortionate cost (for the item & plus P+P) So I tried another site where they didn't have it,but gave me a link which took me to GUR, showing the item at a fraction of the cost and NO P+P. I didn't hesitate, and I am so glad I did purchase, because from start to finish it was very smooth and a professional service from GUR. I would recommend and would use them again.
