I must be the unlucky one... Despite being told my parts were in stock and were to be despatched next day, Christmas came and went, so did New Years. Rang and was told one of my items was actually out of stock but had come in that day. Would be posted 1st class and would be here 4 Jan..BH in Scotland so expected it 5 Jan. Still waiting.... no communication at all from GUR. not a happy customer

I have ordered my overlocker more than one week ago and sent an e-mail to the customer service : no news/answer at all! I do not know if my order is on its way to me or anything else. I am quite disapointed...

I ordered a Janome Embellishing machine on the 23rd December which was delivered on 28th December, EXCELLENT service as I was only expecting it to be delivered after the Christmas/New year holidays.

Excellent communication - problem with stock and then weather were dealt with promptly and efficiently. Can I suggest though that at Xmas machines are wrapped or put in plain boxes - my daughter ended up signing for her own present - the box had a large picture of a sewing machine on it :-(

First class communication - within an hour of placing my order, I had confirmation of despatch and a PDF of my guarantee. Snow caused courier delays of 3 days, and although the courier tracking kept saying delivery would be that day, (my sewing machine bounced around Kent for 3 days in the van, and I stayed in all day for 3 days waiting for it!), G.U.R. was excellent at responding to my emails enquiring about delivery and contacted the courier to find out what was going on. The Brother machine arrived and is absolutely great - despite feeling like something out of a cracker compared with my 1985 tank of a machine, it is a dream to work on, and I am now catching up with unfinished sewing jobs. I used the Which? best buy report in the current issue, and have no regrets at all. The automatic needle threading is a bit tricky, but I will keep practicing. The price was the best on the internet - I saved £80 by buying from G.U.R. rather than from my local shop. I can thoroughly recommend G.U.R. if you are reading this testimonial with a view to ordering from them.

My order for accessories took 10 days, due to the weather of course, but my first enquiry email wasn't answered. Previous to that I ordered a Pfaff sewing machine from an extremely helpful staff member, this arrived in less than 24 hours!

I have a Brother XL-5011 sewing machine.Looking on line i couldnt find certain attachments i needed for my uni course in textiles, on calling the service departement they advised me machine x5005 was compatable with mine, and it had the fitments i needed. Whilst the country has been in chaos this does not seem to have affected G.U.R one bit. I ordered the machine at 3pm on weds and it arrived at 1:15pm on Thursday! Remarkable service and excellent communication throughout, I was informed of my order's status 3 times before delivery, once on receipt of order, on confirmation and on dispatch, even emailed to tell me what time it would be delivered to within an hour!! And guess what? It arrived on time! Really can't praise you enough, my best online shopping experience ever. Thanks.

Great customer service. Like various other people on here I ordered and was advised item was out of stock and may be 10-14 days, then 2 days later another email saying stock was in and it was being shipped, tracking number provided so I could see progress, 2 days later it had arrived. Would recommend this company as they are helpful, courteous and offer good communicaton.
