I purchased a sewing machine last year through Gur Sewing and it was dispatched quickly and the customer service was amazing so when I needed to purchase a second embroidery machine it made sense to purchase again through Gur. I received a couple of phone calls keeping me up to date with the progress of the machine. The delivery driver was able to deliver around my schedule and was so friendly. Overall a really good experience so when I need something in the future I will definitely be using Gur again!

I have been impressed with the Novum Pro Q9 Long Arm Sewing Machine. The delivery was fast, the packaging perfect and the machine undamaged and ready to go. I needed the machine as a portable unit for sewing canvas boat covers. I am not professional, but own two boats that seem to have a lot of canvas! I have just replaced a window in one of the covers and the machine coped very well. I have had to do a slight modification as my sewing twine comes on a 5000m cob that does not fit the machine, but the fix was easy. I have an Adler heavy duty machine set up in my garage, but that may be obsolete now.

The Novum Walking Foot is still to be judged. I am not wholly convinced it is an improvement on the standard foot although maybe I am being unfair as it was working on plastic see-through material and probably couldn't get a proper grip - we shall see.

I hadn’t used a sewing machine since school, so I wasn’t sure which one to go for. I asked the chat line for advice and they were brilliant, they gave me a list of 4 machines that would suit a beginner and I chose this one. It was within my price range and it does everything I asked for plus more, which means as I get more experience using this machine then I can expand on my use of designs and stitches.
I love the way the machine threads it’s own needle , which makes my life simpler and the fact that you can speed up the machine and slow it down means that I can start slow and speed up when I get more confident.
I have made an apron for my first project ( started with an easy project) and then I’ve made a hobo bag ( which I was extremely proud of) this machine has been a joy to use.

Great service. Overlocker received quickly and exactly when promised. Well packed with all the extras. Came pre-threaded for ease and I could start sewing immediately. Plenty of time to get to know how to thread it! Thanks!

I have purchased a Novum overlocker from GUR recently. The order was easy to make, it was delivered promptly and the machine is such good value for money. The reason I chose GUR as opposed to the manufacturer was that the warranty was extended by 1 year.

Purchased this particular model on the recommendation of a friend. GUR offered the best price I could find online. Arrived the next day on a free delivery basis.
Not had the opportunity to use it yet but customer service was very good.

Such a small component.
But saves the bobbin jumping and tangling.
I was delighted how easy it was to use the website and the part was delivered within the tineframe.

Ordered this machine to replace my basic singer.
Things I love about this Jaguar:
1. Speed control
2. Threader
3. Easy switch between most common stitch types
4. Stitch width and length
5. Compact size of the machine works well in my small working space

Things I didn't like:
1. Wider free arm and uncomfortable positioning of the storage box for presser feet etc. You need to take it off completely and the flap opens and everything falls out
2. Space on the right is on the smaller side

Overall I'm very happy with my purchase, very good value for money in my opinion.

Machine works well, need to learn to use it properly now. Additional feet will come in handy for some projects. Did not receive the free bag that was advertised as coming with it.

I was very impressed by how easy it was to order the product I wanted and the quality was exactly what I expected 👌 the delivery was within a week which was very appreciated as I needed the replacement to finish a number of quilts I’m making for a charity project I’m running with my community group

Delivery was quick and convenient as I could choose a day I knew I'd be home
I haven't done much with my overlocker yet since getting it other than set it up and test it, but it came really nicely packaged and all in good condition, very excited to have this!

After a postage issue, (not GURs fault) that GUR resolved very promptly, I took delivery of the Novum Pro Q400 sewing machine. I'll be honest, it's not a brand I know anything about so did take a punt - and I am so glad I did. What a great machine!!
Feels sturdy in use and is relatively quiet compared to my previous machines.
Even today, it's quilting a baby quilt quite happily without a walking foot, but I will be getting one soon.

The only cons for me, are that it doesn't have a serpentine stitch which is my favourite quilting stitch and that you can't move the needle manually.

Give Novum brand a try, you'll be pleasantly surprised

My new Brother A65 is brilliant! I'm so glad I decided to upgrade my old machine. I had decided on a Brother machine and they have plenty to choose from with lots of information about each.
Being able to pay by PayPal with them really helped.

Easy to use (much easier than I was expecting). If you download the app you can get even more designs.

Excellent fast service from GUR as usual,

This is a great foot and will work very well for repairing stitching on an awning and sewing on piping.
The one issue I did have with the foot was that it needs to align with the feed dogs, so the screws at the back of the foot had to be adjusted and they were very stiff. I watched a very useful You Tube demo from Janome Canada and voila it worked.

I was aware when placing the order for the Trolly it was being sent directly from Brother, received an email 2 days after to update me these were out of stock and advised delivery of a month later, I agreed to wait and 4 days later it arrived! Great customer service, I purchased my machine from them over a year ago and they were amazing then which is why I returned, Thank you

Easy to order, delivered prompt. The extra parts showed up eventually but that wasn't the retailers fault since they came directly from the supplier.

I've been wanting a Coverstitch machine for a while now. I knew it was quite an investment though and kept putting it off. Then GUR advertised the Novum ex-display model at a very good price and I knew I had to get it.
GUR were great when I bought my Brother Innovis 880 embroidery machine. So I knew that there customer service was good.
I ordered the Coverstitch online over the Easter bank holiday. The machine arrived on the following Wednesday which was really quick.
It was well packaged and looked immaculate. Unfortunately the machine was unthreaded and there was no instruction book in the box. I figured out how to thread it and had a play with it. Very easy machine to use. Clear directions on the machine. I immediately contacted GUR who immediately posted me out the instruction book which arrived on Friday. By then I had used the machine to hem some pjs I had been making.
All my other machines are Brother. The Novum seems to be just as good quality with a good build. I am very impressed with GUR. They are very helpful and efficient. Their prices are competitive and extraordinarily good on their ex-display models. I've no hesitation in recommending them for sewing machine purchases.

Item arrived as ordered. I had trouble fitting it to machine but got there eventually. Does the job I purchased it for.

The brother machine luggage is really sturdy and well thought out, I originally thought it was very expensive, but now I have it I can honestly say it is well worth the cost of it. I just wish I’d bought it sooner.

The brother upgrade kit is also good value as it includes a large brother magnetic hoop. It gives a good upgrade with lots of patterns and stitches and comes with the required foot for some of them.

The extension table for my Brother Sewing Machine arrived speedily and in perfect condition. I would certainly recommend this company to friends. As soon as I need anything else I will place another order.

Very easy to shop on line. Delighted with the Novum Pro 500q. I have upgraded from a domestic sewing machine. And am just studying all the quilting programs and books so I can enjoy quilting and have a bit of confidence to use the machine for its full potential.
