I'm really pleased with my Brother 2104D overlocking machine and the service provided by GUR. It arrived really quickly and had a handy video to watch. I'm currently making scrubs etc for a charity 'For the love of Scrubs' so this is a machine I really need at the moment. It came completely set up and when the bottom thread broke it was fairly easy to re-thread, (once you read the handy manual that came with it and found the lever that made the mechanism pop out). I've used it quite a lot already and would recommend this machine and GUR.

Very happy with delivery of janome 550E and all appears to be working fine. I have used GurSewing for lots of items previously but this is the first machine. No complaints at all, happy to order again.

Product came quickly, appears to be exactly as I wanted. Haven’t had chance to use it yet - but it is an official brother product, so can’t see there being any issues. Very happy.

Actually received bobbin case this morning. I wasn't 100% sure it was the problem but when I received the new bobbin I could see why the old bobbin wasn't working properly. Because of circumstances at the moment I accepted there would be a delay in posting. At least you informed me when you posted it and I knew it was on it's way. Many thanks.

Delivery service was fantastic but I was disappointed that I also ordered a bag for new machine as part of a bundle which was shown as in stock but did not arrive as it was out of stock. The bag was a factor in my ordering the machine with a bundle of extras at the time but now I have to order a much more expensive one instead.

Both my sister and I ordered one of these at the same time and we both received them the day after they were ordered. the video for threading which is on the website was really useful. as we have only had them a couple of weeks we can't comment on the after sales service but we are sure it will be as good as other feedback customers have stated given the service so far.

The overlocker with material arrived swiftly and well packaged. Love the machine which will greatly speed up my sewing.

Ordering process simple and extremely quick. Next day delivery. I am not a regular sewer, but have tried it out and realised that this machine really only likes good quality threads. I had a tension problem which GUR responded to, but as I was doing everything they had stated, I decided to change the thread and that did the trick...... I have a LOT to learn, but now I am retired hope to get on with some projects once the lockdown finishes and I can get fabric!! That's the one thing you need to touch and feel! Thank you GUR and I appreciate your support so far.

Your webside was easy to navigate and I was pleased you had a replacement part for my sewing machine which has become invaluable during lockdown . A new puppy had chewed the cable on the foot control.

Needles ok .The delivery took 12 days and this is not the first time I have to wait for delivery and had to pay £3 Delivery for one pack of needles I will definitely not be coming back to this site and shop again

We are at fault at the late delivery as Janome were out of stock of the sewing machine needles.

During these hard times a lot of the suppliers are out of stock of various size needles.

Regarding postage we have always charged this amount and its up to the customer to want to pay the delivery charges or not.......

I found the website easy to use and informative. My order was placed on a Sunday afternoon and delivered Tuesday lunchtime. I had forgotten to oder add ons at the time of my order so rang GUR on Thursday and they very kindly offered to post the items at the add on price. I was delighted with the excellent customer service.
I am so pleased with my new sewing machine. I find the ability to use the machine without the foot pedal very useful as I suffer from arthritis and was finding my ankles suffering using my old machine with a foot pedal. I am a hobby sewer and didnt want to spend too much for the amount of sewing I do and this machine fits the bill perfectly.

Did a good bit of research on which machine to buy for our needs. Looked on GUR website which is very easy to navigate and is packed with useful advice. Have bought from GUR before (overlockers) and again I was delighted with both the product and their service. Communication was excellent and the machine was delivered two days later on a Saturday free of delivery charges. Brilliant!!

My Janome MC550 arrived earlier than expected, despite all the delays because of lockdown.
I am thrilled with the machine, it is easy to use and does a fantastic job.
I would definitely recommend this machine and GUR for their excellent service.

Quality of fabric excellent. Delivery a little slow due to the Covid 19 situation. Communication was excellent. More than happy to order more fabric from them. Other products online fab value.

I phoned to ask advice to compare the Janome J3 24 and Brother XR37 as they both had needle threader. I spoke to Palma & he suggested I consider the Brother innov-is 15 as it is computerized and very easy to use with good build quality.
He was most helpful in his guidance but with no pressure to buy.

I accepted Palma's advice and the next day,
Saturday, I ordered the Brother NV15 and it was delivered by Tuesday.

So far I am delighted with both the customer service and the machine itself.

It was an added bonus to receive the carry bag along with the machine at no additional cost.
I had hoped to order sewing thread online but was unable to find it on the website so I phoned GUR. There has been so much demand during the pandemic that the thread has been sold out but Tramaine, whom I spoke to, was very apologetic and helpful in suggesting where I might find the thread elsewhere, even looking to check.

Order this item way back at the end of January but unfortunately they had run out of stock however they contacted me and said it would arrive in May but , if I wished, I could cancel the order. I decided to wait but then the Coronavirus hit the UK and I wondered when I would eventually receive it. True to their word, this item arrived in May despite the problems the world was coping with.

They met their commitment and I'm delighted with the product.

Very good communication. The item I ordered was out of stock and they told me right away and gave me the option to cancel or wait. I received the Brother free motion grip, today. The popularity of this item caused a delay from Brother throughout the country. I was offered a refund immediately or alternatively, an expected date during May. I was quite happy to wait as I knew I couldn’t buy it elsewhere. I am looking forward to using the grip. I ordered the Novum Life on the 3rd May 2020, and it arrived as expected on the 5th. It couldn't have been easier to order on the website, very easy and straightforward, a great experience, and a lovely little machine.

I was thinking of purchasing a sewing machine for a while and with the lockdown restrictions it seemed the best thing to do it now. But so did the rest of the country, especially when the show 'The sewing bee' started on tv. Sewing machines were being bought in from of my eyes and I missed out on buying one twice!
Until I came across GUR Sewing Machines... I cannot tell you how glad I was to find your website, the variety, details of descriptions etc. and most of all the delivery service!!!
I ordered the machine on Saturday afternoon and Tuesday morning it sat on my table. Excellent service!
When lockdown is over, I would like to explore a live explanation or training in their shop is possible as this machine is a bit more sophisticated than the one I used 25 years ago.

I love this machine and wish I’d bought one years ago. The purchase was swift and allowed me to sew scrubs quickly and to a much better standard. Would recommend highly.

My granddaughter loves Harley Quinn and as part of my isolation projects I wanted to make some cushions for her bedroom. I have searched all the fabric online shops to no avail until I came across GUR the sewing superstore! Not only did they have the exact fabric that I needed but many more different styles of haberdashery. The process of purchasing the fabric was simple, quick and I paid a very good price for it!!
